To those that are SCAdians, there is no excuse as the Assuming of real world ORDERS, Names or titles that had effect in that time period and are still known in this day is forbidden by the BYLAWS/COPREA of the SCA. I don't know where you'd find that, but I have an idea:

It wouldnt be that hard (or expensive) to get a glass oil candle, and coat it in wax. It would look like a candle from the outside, feel like a candle to the touch, but take oil like an oil candle.

My reccomendation would be to avoid horizontal seams, esp thos over the ridge pole. (also, make use the "Lip of any horizontal seam overlaps downward)

what colour do you want it? (they have most every colour at the walmart- Red, white, golden, black, blue etc)

But the short answer is Yes. You can even dye it with RIT dye, though the colours arent that vivid. (Though reactive dyes do better)

You can't call someones blows for them, but you can sometimes know that the blow you threw was good. If you hit someone in the head so hard his 12 ga helmet caves in, it is good. That may be so, but i think it is obvious that the guy in the 2nd painting is supposed to be a jew. I believe the firstpainting to be the same. I think the reason we see the hats in those pictures is that the are portraying Jews. (notice the "well off fellow" is giving pointers on constructing the cross) Th artists wold have based these men off of jews they had seen, who, due to religious laws, wore hats.

I am exaggreating on the tightness, but it was tighter than *I* am used to. How about loin/breech cloth. the kind that i essentially a long teatowel that is placed over a belt, under the groin and over the belt. then one could drop the Breechclout belt andbe naked over he neccesarry bits, but still wearing the armour on the legs.

I made my wicklebander from plain wool fabric withthe ends overcast. But I can only get them to work If they approach the tournaquet. compression range of tightness.
