wellll... we do know from iconographic evidence that the islamic gourd (which was apparantly eaten) look a hell of a lot like a squash. I have no idea if it even exists as a cultivar now.

fireguilding is supposed to stick really well. mix powdered gold with mercury, slather on and burn the mercury off. Of course i think it would eb illegal as hell to do in any first world country.

He was not a knight, but Emporer Fredrick Barbarossa of Germany died in 1190 at the age of 67 while leading his people on crusade. He didn't even die of old age. its actually quite easy to put a metal ring in a handsewn eyelet. just slip it over the bodkin after you have pierced the fabric, and do your blanket stitch over it.

my hosen/chaucess/whatnot are pinned. I pass the tip of the hose through the hole in the waistband of my braies, over the drawstring, and then pin the point back down to itself. its right sturdy, and easy to do.,

well if you rotate it, so that the corners of the square become points of a diamond, it would be much better. doing that and Raising the wingtips would get you back into standard practice

Ok, that's a gryphon, now, as for the posture, the best i can do is bendwise segregant with wings inverted.

In my humble opinion, this particular posture is very dynamic, and as such, might not be the best for heraldry... but its your idea
