Because chances are, that pole arm guy is NOT going to wait for you to salute him and walk off, he's going to hammer you in the head, again, HARDER ( and rightfully so ). I kind of have a problem with that. Is it right to sacrifice your own honor while challenging some elses. or is it acceptible to...

Agnarr -- Huh??? The behaviour Sig described is exactly correct. If you hit a person and they don't go down, assume they are an honorable person who felt the blow to be insufficient, and strike again. Rinse and repeat. Adjust power as necessary. They will let you know they find your blow acceptable...

The year Valharic was king of the midrealm there were folks dresed in roman regalia doing guard duty. We actually did the same thing here in Atlantia. It was great! I've done the guard-personna while serving the crown. Padded gambeson, chapeau de fer, high boots, maille and side sword. It looks coo...

The context of this picture is that of a bridge battle. The sides of the bridge are denoted by the wooden 1x2 seen in the lower right corner of the picture. Merlin is stepping up to serve a tasty meal of whup ass a la nebularum to myself and my compatriots. Ok, if that is the situation, than again,...

What Gavin said there is _NO_ thickness requirement for stuff you do not have to wear. IE you can wear 26 ga vams in most places, if you like beating out dents. Since in most places you donn't have to wear em at all. My greaves are like 24 ga??? Most of my armour is 20/ 18 ga or less. It's all hard...

Perhaps. Sorry for the derail. Personally, I see the stickers (both inspection and "team" ) as a necessary evil. Your Grace, I hope you'll pardon me, but I wish to cordially disagree with you. I won't pretend I have a better answer for the inspection sticker dilemma, but marking sides wit...

I think I can get this right. The absolute minimum is 16 gauge, but 14 is better. If it's something that overlaps like llamellar, then you could go lighter because you'd have two thicknesses, but you'd have to be sure to overlap enough. Marshalls and rules vary some from Kingdom to Kingdom, but I t...
