Plenti of laminated/composite bows in scandinavia. Here are some reconstructions of the "Type B" finds from Bergen, Nidaros and Oslo, 13th century:


Those look realitively simple, I might give one a try. I will NOT be using yew, though.

I am looking for pictures of excisting finds of norse bows. I have read they have found yew, ash and elm bows from the "viking" era. any help?
