In Ansteorra it's quite uncommon for a squire to wear a chain. Some knights have their guys with them, most do not. I prefer not. Save the toys for when you get there, my knight says.

I would like to point out that just because an armoury does SCA legal merchandise, they're NOT an "SCA armoury." They may affiliate themselves with the SCA, but the SCA has not affiliated itself with THEM.
