I've fought often with a pennoned spear. I've had them damaged because of "stuff" but never had anyone try to grab the pennon. Frankly, it would be a VERY inefficient tool to try to take the spear away or even slow the recovery of the spear from a shot. Think about it. Trying to hold onto a thin str...

"As to the "in gameness" of the SCA think about this: whens the last time you called most of your SCA freinds thier real name?" All the time. Actually, Cheval, I hate to correct you, but I believe he's probably only even technically eligible in Trimaris. I think most kingdoms have a residency requirement. http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif He woulnd't be eligible in Ansteorra as he's not been a resident of Texas or Oklahoma for th...

In Ansteorra we say MoA's have students. My understanding of why MoA's were created was for mundane religious purposes. That argument is specious to me, but that's another discussion. It's what we have as a situation, and it's not going to change. Here in Ansteorra, all candidates for the chivalry a...

I do want to ask a question...the knight who's "interested"...does he know you're already in a knight/squire relationship? Is he asking you to give that belt back and squire to him? I don't want to sound too critical if that's the case, but if it is, that's not too cool. I'm not suggesting it's the ...

anyone make fencing stuff?
I'm in need of fencing gear. I have the linen, but I want to find someone who will sew it into a fencing shirt and pants for me. Well, FORTUNATELY, I believe that the BOD would be unlikely to vote in majority to revoke membership for someone arrested for civil disobedience or jaywalking. Now, if an INDIVIDUAL could revoke another's membership for those offenses, I'd be worried. But as long as it has to get up the chain and co...

Actually, SCA Corpora states they can take away SCA "stuff" for mundane civil crimes, or at least seems to be planning on it:

Marcidius: I didn't address the general topic of his post because Richard did it so well. Then he followed it up with that garbage second post, which is what reminded me of what I read on Arador. I don't have a problem with either my close or my armet. The only thing that's any problem at all is if I fight a sword and madu or sword and spear guy...the lower thrust is hard to pick up and it's easier to belly or chest thrust me because I can't see it coming. http://www.geocities.com/morgunnmac/ That's my close. You can see both my close and my armet on Sinric's site. A lack of breathes is only mythically a problem for breathing. It's psychosematic.
