Several times in my experience I've had cops show up. The only law I've ever had quoted as a jokeing reference to clubs being illegal, a laugh, and other questions about our fighting.

I've fought often with a pennoned spear. I've had them damaged because of "stuff" but never had anyone try to grab the pennon. Frankly, it would be a VERY inefficient tool to try to take the spear away or even slow the recovery of the spear from a shot. Think about it. Trying to hold onto a thin str...

I believe that it was (SP?) hisidic jews or orthodox jews who were the impetus for the movement from a mundane religious perspective.

I don't understand the necessity, because, as you stated, it's a game. Your persona is in fealty, not the mundane person.

In Ansteorra we say MoA's have students. My understanding of why MoA's were created was for mundane religious purposes. That argument is specious to me, but that's another discussion. It's what we have as a situation, and it's not going to change. Here in Ansteorra, all candidates for the chivalry a...

I do want to ask a question...the knight who's "interested"...does he know you're already in a knight/squire relationship? Is he asking you to give that belt back and squire to him? I don't want to sound too critical if that's the case, but if it is, that's not too cool. I'm not suggesting it's the ...

I would like to point out that just because an armoury does SCA legal merchandise, they're NOT an "SCA armoury." They may affiliate themselves with the SCA, but the SCA has not affiliated itself with THEM. Image
