1. How many years have you been actively fighting B+S? 3 years 2. What size buckler do you use? 14" I think...the small one from Mandrake 3. What construction materials? Did you make it or buy it? See above 4. Who is the best B+S fighter you've ever seen? Uh..... gosh, I never even thought about it ...

a vigil, soon an elevation in Ansteorra, and a GRAND EVENT!
Immediately upon my elevation to the Order of Chivalry a couple weeks back, it was my distinct and singular honor to be pulled back into my role as Royal Herald by His Majesty Ansteorra to call forward my squire brother, Tomas Niallagain, who was then announced to be placed on vigil for elevation at...

WTB: Simple white belt with buckle
Hey all...I'm looking for a simple utilitarian white belt with buckle (no rings) for the practice field and so on. NOTHING fancy, no embelishments, just a white belt with buckle. A simple tip would be fine as well, but nothing more. 60" or maybe a little longer would be fine. Anyone have such a thin...

You should listen to your Knight, Malcolm. He is a tripple peer after all...that means he knows LOTS of ways to get out of things. Squires are so cute at that age. PROVE THAT! He's got THREE peerage meetings to go to. How's that "getting OUT" of ANYTHING? I say it proves he's one of the slowest men...

Yeah, I have to tell you, "larger" doesn't equate to the events you would feel less welcomed at. You wouldn't have had a problem at Steppes Warlord. But you might not have been as welcome at a high persona event with a modern trailer "disguised" if you know what I mean. You'd take it on an event-by-...

Not a whole ton to add....late to the party and all that. There's a TITANIC difference between a really bad bruise and a torn ACL. I'll tell people to suck it up when they THINK they're tired or something but this is quite totally different. I pushed myself pretty hard thru my shoulder surgery and b...

I was very pleased to see Morgan so honored, he's a good man and deserves it. I have fond memories of both facing off against him and standing with him in battle. It's perhaps best that I not be there to see him elevated, I would be mightily tempted to put on armour to face him again and that would...

he forgot to mention it was blows retained. So if Jean Paul and I were fighting, and I hit him 3 times and he me me 5, I'd leave the field, get 1 point, and he'd get 2, but when his next opponent came on the field, they started of 0-3. So even an awesome fighter couldn't hold the field for turn afte...

Huh.... Well, looks like fun. If I didn't like getting hit hard and hitting hard, I'd be tempted.
It does look like they hit pretty well as hard as they can. Check out the GenCon video.

The main problem with helms Im noticing is I can spend 2 days on a helm and make less than $300 for the company, while in 2 days i can pull out parts my guys have made up and complete probably 60 sets of spaulders in that same two days and put them instock. At a low end of $40 thats $1200 in 2 days...
