It would not fit any period or persona. It would be meant to be worn under something, like a tunic, or mail, or a gambezon. All the protection an SCA fighter might like for their kindeys, short ribs, buttocks, and hips.

So if I were to offer a kidney belt with butt flaps, who would be interested? And How about if I were to put the wings from a gunslinger arming belt on it with hardened leather plates to protect the hip?

My shovel greaves run $130.00 a pair. They come with a floating knee cop to cover the top of the knee when you bend your leg.

I also make hardened leather greaves. Here is a tooled set. They are modeled off of Roman/Greek greaves, modified for SCA armor standards.
