Okay at this point I think I have cleared the immediate scrap. I need to ship out the leather to the folks who have already reserved and/or paid. Once I have that done I will let folks know if I have any left.

The thumb is a solid part of the hand section. It curls over the top of the finger plate so that any impact to the thumb area goes to the gauntlet and not your thumb.

Hi, yes these are full hardened leather gauntlets. I put a link in my reply a little higher above to the auction going on that has pictures of the gauntlets.

Some of them are pretty large about 1 to 1.5 feet square. Some are about 8X8 or so. It is a real mix. If you specify that you want large piewces I can sort it out a bit. If nothing else they would make great shoe or boot soles. Some of it is edges of hides, or just has some mottling.

I have a lot of 13 to 15 ounce scrap leather to get rid of. It is all very usable, just not suitable for retail armor. I am asking $2.00 a pound
