I have been asked to make a set before, but it is just not a project I felt like taking on. First I do not do metal work, next the amount of tooling is pretty daunting. The total amount of hours I would have to put in are just too cost prohibitive.

No worries Olafr, I was just offering some help on the armor. Sweat should not affect the scales since they are waxed. But the leather laces are another matter. Just about any leather conditioner will work. I use Skidmores Leather Creme.

Yes he bought it from me a while back. I carry a limited amount of All Saints Armour, when he has stuff in stock. I am not sure of all the circumstances as to why he is selling it. He has not contacted me about it. But it is certainly worth the price.

All Saints Armoury makes one that runs $275.00 it has a 12 gauge crown that is tig welded and has 14 gauge face and back plate. I do not know if he is taking orders right now, but this one of the best value helms for quality and price that I know of.

Hi Olafr are you wearing anything under the lamellar? I usually recommend a light quilted gambezon. Mostly for sweat absorbtion and reduce chafeing, but it might also help absorb some impact. Leather armor will always have some give to it.

And yes there is a difference between elbow and knee cops. Knee cops have a shallower dish than elbow cops. They just don't need to be so pointy.
