oo, a question about japanese armour i can answer. i mean roman style glass at the end of it not the making part. nobody has moved it yet and you two seem to be the only people complaining. i'm sure if someone such as JT wished it moved, he would.

I see, thats kind of what i had in mind, i'm sure i can salvage some old victorian cat iron firegrate for the grate. does the glass sit dircetl above the charcoal or is it in some kind of pot?

i'd try a cross pein from the inside and place one side of the V on a flat T stake. slow hammering with the pein adjacent to me and slowly turning the piece the way you want the curve. do this 8 or 9 times and then repeat on the other side of the V. bet that made no sense, right.

Very cool, looks like a lot of work went into it. Regarding the liner, a stuffed linen liner sewn to a strip rivetted along the brow is the period solution.
