I don't know of anyone who makes them properly and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't have a 5 year waiting list. Not bothered about price  for a guideline you'd be looking at between 10-50 thousand dollars.

with Yew at least it takes from 6 months to a year depending on the size of the log. you should keep the moisture content at about 9% to avoid it drying out too much. For a log that size, i'd say a couple of years in an open ended clear platic tunnel. this helps the air circulate and keeps the humid...

http://www.larp.com/legioxx/scupress.html. This is very similar to the one i use for my shields. When doing a curved shield, cut the shape out after forming for ease of bending. you'll regret it if you don't.

Actually a lot of B&W armours are painted black. I also think that a lot of armour was blued using other methods than the forge for a more durable finish. A lot of blackened armours were actually ground to a high polish by the victorians to get that 'knight in shining amrour' look. hope i helped.

Mine cost £10 which is relatively reasonable. It is a welding place that makes 'wrought iron' gates and fences and such.

It really depends on the techniques you use and what for. i use 18g most of the tim an ddon't have many problems. i suggest a beverly shear or the knockoff if you are on a budget. i'm sure that people will agree that it is the best you can get.

Cool aging technique.

I regularly use vinegar to clean mild rust off of pieces of scrap when i find a use for them, it's cheap and works quite well. Today i thought i'd try on a heavily pitted piece for fun. i put quite a bit on and rubbed it on with a green scrubby pad thing. i left it to do its magic and came back in a...

Paladia, hate to say it but you are being a complete prick. you have offended a lot of my friends and slandered a reputable armourer without due cause. Have you contacted LMF To see if it is one of his. If it's not then it's obvious he's trying to rip you off but if it is one of his it's just a case of a lack of info. Try strike a deal with him, like he could pay you back in installments of say, 50 bucks. It's usually better to bargain with people ...

Thats quite a lot of defects. I suggest contacting the seller once again and explaining that this is not what you ordered adn you'd like a refund. If he denies a refund seek legal advice and find out where you stand. thats all can really say with me being from the UK i don't know much about US law.
