I do work on projects but only in my spare time. All i have so far is the upper and lower breastplate.and they are not even finished+ my digicam doesn't work. It's not that i don't make armour and ask pointless questions. i'm also on a very tight budget, i use what i can scrounge.

Black and white harness'

Does anyone have any decent pictures of them? I am looking for pictures of the cheaper munitions grade type, the hammer finish ones. Close-ups of the sliding gussets would be great as well, thanks for any help you can provide.

I'll bring it along then. i have at least 3 good days to planish and sand so it won't look too shabby. I might have been exagerating a bit with the seven inches, maybe more like 4 or 5.

If you heard about my dad being in intensive care a month ago on the verge of death you'll be glad to know he's accompanying me. About the squire thing, i think it'll have to be put...

A rule of thumb is from your collar bone to your crotch for the length, but i'm not sure about the width. you could try cut one out of cardboard and keep altering it til it fits.

Welding it or annealing (or not so it seems) will considerably lessen the effects of it's rust protection.

Try dishing on a practice pair that you could maybe sell to someone on the cheap to buy bigger hammers. Dishing stainless can't take that long, can it? a 12g helmet halve takes me only a couple of hours.

I am going to tack weld it for the essay cos my welding isn't so good. ALL welds must have a fully penetrated and continous(sp?) bead. I sontract all my welding out to a professional cos a failed weld means lots of pain for the user.

I buy 4x8 sheets and have got a spangen, a pair of hourglass gaunts, breast and back of a milanese cuirass, 2 16" circles and a cover for my forge. the sheet cost me £16 its up to £27 now becaus eof china. $74 seems a lot for 2 extra square feet.

Yep, it's a lot if someone just dished out at least 300 for a decent helm and still needs everything else. i was thinking at something around the 270 mark.
