i'm tall but i'm pretty, erm thick shall we say. just have to get the wod now. i think i'll use 3mm plywood and laminate it. after that i wil screw a solid central ridge on from the back.

I know it's more than a tube and some BP. you need to know how much BP to use for the tube length and width also what size projectile. too heavy and the cannon won't move it and the blast will be contained within a small area sending shrapnel everywhere. i will do some serious research into this and...

Thats not bad for 4 days work. is it me or is the arm bending down a lot. i have yet to start on mine but i have come into money for some tubing and i have an old bike chain and wheel. all i need now is to scrounge a motor from a friend.

it looks like fabric to me. it looks like thick fabric(canvas) sewn onto a sleeve.

Did you measure to your crotch or your belly button, cos' if you're gonna have faulds you need to measure so the bottom of the breastplate touches the belly button.

to behonest i'm not sure which is period. i would GUESS that it is the spring pin method as this seems more practical than having to undo buckles.

a 4'x8' sheet costs me about £16 with delivery. i've known it cost up to £30 for the same size which is ridiculous. brass on the other hand if you can find large sheets would be about £70. i'm not entirely sure cos i use brass kickplates courtesy of my dads work.

that's how full greaves are made. just dish or raise the back and out a hinge on one side and a strap or spring pin on the other.
