I could make a cube for you. does it matter if it is welded. it should only be welded on a few sides so that you could position it so there are no welds.

If you mail the pictures to me i'll host them on the archive for you until you get your site fixed. I am going to pull out my lego technic for this one and see how well it works. this could turn out quite well with some fine tuning.

To be honest i'm really not sure. i haven't tried it and the inlay thing is theory that i have picked up over the net. i suspose you could repousse the coat of arms and then use hidden rivets to rivet it on.

You would chisel the coat of arms in one long line and then you undercut the line so the brass wire stays in place. then you take your wire and start hammering until it is tight.

here they are. i'll have to check my wiring knowledge cos i don't do much of it and the diagram kinda went over my head a bit. Although the fact that the file is called the shakeling is a little un-nerving. here it is though. [img]http://home.armourarchive.org/members/hayman/New%20Folder/schakeling%...

Steam engine planishing hammer

How do i make a steam engine then adapt it for a power hammer for light duty planishing. it would be cheaper and probably easier than an electric hammer. maybe big enough to planish a couple of breastplates a week and a helmet. this could be quite a fun project.

just a quick question, what is anticlastic raising. is it a different method than normal raising or is it an older technique. oh and they'd have to be cheap too. i wouldn't mind a long ended dishing hammer, or a big dishing form.
