well i went today and realised that the helm is not in the entrance it's at the back of the armourers workshop. how annoyed am I. looks like i'll have to try and arrange a visit with the armourer and ask him for hints and stake shapes.

i was at the royal armouries today and saw armour much like that. it is butted but the wire size looks way to large. they rings tended to be about 1/4" ID.

tried to cast a lead cube for forming stuff today. i poured it into my box on my anvil and there must have been a gap and molten lead flies EVERYWHERE. on my foot on my GLOVE(i wear gloves unlike the rest of you). it was more of a messy accident than an injury but i thought i'd tell you.

I was watching the matrix reloaded for like the 22nd time this evening and thought. wouldn't it be cool to own one of those odd swords. so i was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get pictures from of the edged weapons. google didn't turn up anything.

aaaaarrrggghh plate mail. just a quick reminder. plate mail was used to describe armour in things like fantasy games it doen't actually exist. there are examples of maille being used with plate but the term itself is just a made up thing. it's either plate armour or maille not chainmail.
