i think i might try target archery. i have being doing archery for about 3 years now. my bow seems to fit in with the guidelines. i joined with my archery club through the pontalarch website. (no need for pictures. i have a girlfriend.)

whilst were on the topic of raising. i was thinking of making a half sized sallet. the problem is what shape blank do i start with. i thought maybe a teardrop shape but really i'm just not sure.

i did it the same as you Halberds. but instead i used 1 piece of 16g folded on itself. i can make about 100 ft in 20 minutes. the reason i came up with this is...the only rod i have is 3/4" which is way too large. making maille out of large links means the edges go funny and it lays oddly. i thought...

made an innovation in maille technology today. hand twisted wire wound into rings. made a sample patch to show you all. will post picture in a minute. it holds together really nicely even though the ID is 3/4".
