Since we are talking about the SCA.... I do not think any one of us has any more right to demand all battles, melees, fighting conform to particular types (with or without CA, being or not being meat-grinders, static spear duels, etc...) any more than any one of us has a right to demand that people ...

...namely myself. left the gloved hand in the kiln a little too long fiddling with trying to position a piece for heat treating.......

There is a color depiction of this effigy in the Osprey book German Medieval Armies 1300-1500 in the center illustrations (Figure C1) with a brief description on page 41.

This is one of my favorite german effigies.
