I will have pics at Pennsic, since I have to buckle the CoP and legs yet and my Buckle source is at Pennsic already. I will FB my progress pics over this week as...

Depends on your metal. with Mild? No, too light a gauge. For stainless? too light if the leather is thin. For Spring or spring stainless that has been hardened/tempered? Thats heavy. I use 20ga or 22ga hardened "spring" steel for splints. I do, however, shaped them a bit so they are not ju...

Acquiring sheet "spring" steel in the Orlando area

Being used to the sources in the Chicago area (where I can just drive to a distributer and get what I need).... ...in comparrison, how is the general Orlando area (I would end up North of Orlando proper) for finding and purchasing 1050/1065 steel? An interesting thing about turnshoes, from someone who has been fighting in them for about 4 years now.

They force you to have been footwork and a more balanced stance and movement, all of which are better for your fight. If you do not maintain good balance, etc.... you can slip.

UPDATE -

3 weeks from completion of the 90 days program and I am at a total loss of 32 lbs of fat. I have gone from a 37 waist to 33 waist. I feel better, I am stronger and faster and HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone. I do suggest starting slow, unless you are already used to working out.

I understand that there were laws throughout history. However, the core of any animal is might makes right. You cannot undo evolution, and the fact that no matter what any law says, when pushed, it is the nature of man to be violent. When that time comes, might makes right. It is evident in war. Th...

I have to agree with Vitus. While our modern day sensibilities and our modern enactment of things medieval are quite and very different, the core is still the same. In our game, it is not about the violent result. It is not about inflicting pain on others (to which a number of you seem to be stickin...

It was actually made illegal to paint helms in England in the latter half of the 14th century because some people were painting old rusted pieces and trying to sell them as new.
