I know very little about lamellar.

Why don't you have proper pieces going over your shoulders instead of just cording? All the pics I've seen have lamellar over the shoulders.

Otherwise, nice work!

First of all, you'd get a better result if you ask here.

Secondly, my (completely invalid in the midrealm) opinion is that it'd be fine so long as you only use it for heavy rapiers and not for foils or epees.

I've always wanted to put together a game of Stoolball. Apparently (and I could be wrong on this) it's a 14th Cen women's game. Forerunner of cricket and baseball. Reputedly invented by milkmaids with stools, buckets, and rocks.

Persian/Central Asian armour painting

I scanned in this pic today of Isfandyar fights the Simurgh , which shows a pretty complete set of of persian armour. It looks like a lot of armours I've seen for Persia & central Asia, all the way out to Mongolia and Tibet. I think he's wearing a lamellar shirt, split for skirts on the thighs (like...

My view has nothing to do with science or medicine; I work in medicine, and while I"m not an MD, I know a little about pregnancies.

Still, I wouldn't fight a woman I knew was pregnant. Nothing to do with how far along she is. Just something intrinsic down in the amygdala somewhere.
