Dredge, SERIOUSLY, camp out on James B's front stoop and do not leave until he helps you out (sorry, bro :mrgreen:). He is one of the best folks I know for getting you the most bang for your buck in armour terms. He can give you the knowledge to make you look good without breaking your bank.

ah HA! I think I have it now. When I grip the polearm, the tip of the thumb plate contacts the bottom of the plate that extends out over the fingertips. Your Excellency de la Flamme, The front plate extends out over my fingertips. When my hand is closed on a weapon that plate extends out over the tip of my thumb, thereby protecting it. All the lexan shields are covered with canvas on both sides, and then edged in leather. What he's not telling you is that lexan was clear . I saw the round briefly before he covered.
