Interesting piece.

My most burning question, however -- and one that I think is really the most important one to satisfy everything we need to know about those shots -- is:

What is the name of the chick in red? (And does she like older men?)

I pointed mine to my cuisses underneath so it can't be seen. There is a tab of leather riveted to the back of the polyen near the top, and when it is tilted up, I pass the points through the leather and tie it off. The the polyen flips down over the joint, and covers the pointing. I then do up the ...

With respect, your Grace, I believe the distinction lies in the perspective of your audience, which in turn lies in how educated an individual is concerning the era that we strive to portray. Most people (even SCA goers) will not recognize the pirate, nor sadly even the Xena costume, as being parti...

So how do you propose solving the problem of the recreant, those who won't be led by any carrot? This is, I think, the crux of the issue. So, who's going to go tell the Tuchux that they need to do something about their plastic shields and dark victory armor? I would suspect it would be the marshals at Pennsic who are authorizing armour on any given day. Perhaps they, too, would get the hint on what is expected on the field. You could...

I see this possibly alienating some. In today's economy some newer/younger people just won't have the ability to "Period up" their stuff. If they can't even afford a tabard, the cost of going to events and fighting shouldn't even be an issue. I have no sympathy for anyone beyond the autho...
