Kikko aren't hard to make. Start with a strip of steel (or plastic if that's what you're into for kikko) and set up a jig on a drill press to drill all the holes. When the holes are drilled, just snip them off the strip.

For the record, there is no such thing as "family arms" (at least in the Anglo-French tradition) -- arms belong to a single individual, and are inherited unchanged in a line unbroken eldest son to eldest son. Those arms aren't YOURS unless you are the oldest of the oldest of the oldest (etc.) of the...

Gaston: A few years ago, one of the residents of AA (Apocalypse -- what ever happened to him?) did an armour from one of my patterns and russetted the thing. He wrote an essay on the russeting process and I thought he put it in the archive here. If not, I'll see if I can find a copy of it. Effingham

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">I think Sedric is actually spelled 'Cedric.'</font> Which is odd, as the name is pronounced "KED-rik" -- which is also odd, as there is no such name. Yes, it was real. I've seen one or two suits done that way. That puts it on order of less than one tenth of one percent http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif . As to how it was made... I'm not certain (though I have some ideas). It is a post-period thing and butt-ugly, so I've never looked into...
