>blush< It are indeed mine. Glad to hear you all like it. It was fun as hell to do. I have long had a thing about Arabic scrolls. A frustration for me is that many people base their frame work on pages from a Quran -- which, being a book, has a gutter, and only one free side. I spent a lot of time t...

I did Sir Khaalid's Leaf of Merit scroll. Ask him to show it to you. It's in Arabic. This is happening. I need that fon...

This font was recommended to me be left handed scribe to be the easiest one to do for a left handed new guy (this will be my 2nd scroll) and I cannot hire this out or it will not have been done by my hand which is what I promised the Bride and Groom. My other alternative is to find a nice font that...

Just remember to point out the Crusades did not happen in a vacuum. There were centuries of Muslim expansion and threats before the First Crusade was called.

I don't understand how people can have such an issue over other peoples appearance. They don't make me look bad and they don't ruin the game for me. By beauty I am not a star. There are others more handsome by far. My face I don't mind it. because I'm behind it. It's the people in front that I jar.

Decent looking seems to be covered by "reasonable attempt". As stated let the Kingdoms tighten as needed. No need for new legislation. Then consider it a repetition of the rule. . I do, which is why it is not needed. Apparently, it is. Or we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first...

In any case. I am not unaware as to how it works. You take your office, no sorry, yourself way to seriously and come off as though the SCA fighting happens because you are there to make it so. That is not the case. It was here before you and will be here after you, for better or worse depending on ...

But that's quite traditional. aint it? Constantine won because he had the Chi Rho added to the shields of his army. King Arthur fought with a Mother and Child shield. Though I spose there might be a difference between using it for a game and using it for "righteous war" ? I don't think so...

its already "illegal" based on our charter. that charter states that anyone attending ansca event must be dressed in pre-17th century garb. modern materials like blue jeans, tennis shoes, and blue plastic fail to meet that requirement. we fighters should not get a free pass to ignore this...

I would not at all be opposed to Kingdoms banning such things, but, as it does not touch on the safety aspect of armored fighting, I do have a problem with using the office of the Marshallate to put such a ban in place. I have to disagree. The marshallate is responsible for the tourney field, and f...

Re: Great helm breaths

It's totally your call, but I have always found the "personalizing" of Helm Breaths just too out of place. I mean if there is evidence of the practice in period that is one thing, but putting "cool" designs with the breath holes can ruin the look of an otherwise nice period helm...
