Bummer on the fit, it happened to me when my wife made me my lentner, the quilting definatly reduces the overall size.

I cant comment on his buisness practices as ive not done any buisness with him, As for quality Sir Geoffrey does nice work, excellent articulations, nice shapes, ive realy only seen his harness at practices/event, but it looks quite nice, especially the shaped cuisses.

Gwen, check out Embletons Medieval Military Costume recreated in color photographs, soft cover. Provided you have it. There is a a decent 13th cent aketon recreation on page 13
There are also some earlier representations but most have a maile shirt on over.

The volume of holiday mail will slow down packages and letters, i just recieved a letter from the southern US, mailed to me in NH, i was amazed it took 12 days.
Also i was under the impression you can not send USPS Priority mail out of the US, Priority is stateside only.
I hope your book arrives soon.

Thanks for the info Jeff, actually i plan on building them myself from some 1050, i was just wondering if you had discovered a 15th cent shoul;der defence that articulated on just leather instead of leather and sliding rivits.

I have plenty of soapstone, its nice to carve, very soft, although you could buy a gypum product and pour slabs to carve.
A 100 lb bag of hydro-cal should run around 40.00, its been years since i bought any though.

I was watching an interesting show on the history channel about the life of Judas.
At least according to this program the Romans were not particularly interested in Christs execution, infact Pilot (sp) wanted to let him go, it was pressure from local religious leaders that had him executed.

I have found a source for fustian, and while i think technicly it should be a less expencive material ive found natural colored fustian to be just about the same dollars per yard as linnen.
The fustian is a bit heavier than the linnen i believe.

As said by others linnen does not take dye as well as other materials, and black is more difficult. That being said there is evidence to support black linnen.
Natural linnen would be likely for the liner.

I just cut the bottom of an oxy tank, it has a nice shape to it, but i have to weld in a stamp mark and dress it up a bit, id be happy to trade it to you. I have no clue what shipping would cost, you are in germany?
