I bought a bead roller from lowbuck tools out of california specifically for making the brow band on my cav helms, it beads and steps flanges 16 ga with no complaints, and was cheap at around 250.00
I have yet to use it for anything else armour related.

If you are going to go through the hastle of ordering from a Czech armoury Id reccomend MJ, excellent quality, some of his 14th cent stuff looks kinda odd but his 15th cent work is nice quality

It is an armet, it splits at the chin, the cheek pieces hinge upward.
It was made by Jeff Hedgcock of historic enterprises.

While ive not had the pleasure of recieving a combat instruction from Ron, id like to point out that he has offered me quite a few pointers on armouring, ive made many inquiries to armouring laurels and got no responce, Ron on the other hand was happy to share tips and tricks.
