You can drill them easy enough, a fornster bot, a spade bit or a hole saw, i cut one in half with a hand saw once, it was a treat, took about 25 min.

I have been giving some thought to selling my lentner, its never been worn in combat, ive only put it on once or twice.
Its made from a dark green brocaid with a black linnen liner.

looks good Clay, you might want to make the inside top of the vambrace a little diff, cutting a curve at the top will allow for a more comfortable fit.

You can not dye leather white, teh material they use to make white leather is more like a paint, it sits on top of the leather instread of penetrating it.
Leather factory/tany etc carry the product you need, i believe there is a process to preparing the leather befor painting

Id say hands down Dalewyn has the best plastic armour ive seen, the shapes are far more correct than any others ive seen.
If you could get the profile of your mitten gaunts a little smaller (so they would fit inside of leather mittens) id love to have a pair
