I found a box with some old projects I helped a friend with. They have been sitting for 5 years so its time for them to go. This is an auction, I will close it in a bit, bid in even dollar amounts, figure between 10/15.00 for shipping that way I don't have to answer a ton of requests for shipping qu...

I have a sorta fancy conical on my website.
I would like to move it, I am wanting to move all my stock at this time.
If you are interested drop me a note, I am willing to negotiate the price to clear it out.
It seems at the moment my site is down, I am sure it will come back up soon.

Re: Falchion SCA swordplay- an emerging style.

One of the inherent aspects of the form being discussed is a heavy sword. Falchions, per se, are blade heavy. Still, you will want a medium to heavy basket to get a heavy stick. I wouldn't use a lightweight hilt for a sword intended for this style. Really? I would have thought to make it more blade...

Very well done! But as one curator of the original pointed out, it's not actually a tapestry but an embroidery since it's stitched and not woven. Sure, but it is largely known as the "Bayoux Tapestry" even if its an incorrect description of the technique used to create it. Its even referr...

About an inch on the body and shoulders. Half that on the arms. An inch for a foundation garment ? Far to thick, that's crazy thick. Batting tends to run about 1/8th of an inch My understanding is that it's meant to be stand-alone armour, rather than just 'underarmour'. In that case I would not use...

Re: 13th COP..does canvas work well?

I prefer fabric as well, surcote over the cop goes a long way to increasing its life. I have a new one under construction, a wool outer and a hemp canvas liner. Hemp canvas is a crazy strong fabric. While I am not an advocate of much plastic a fabric cop with plastic plates weighs almost nothing. He...
