Re: St George - Hradcany Square - Body armour - Thoughts?

I am interested in how the scale changes direction under the arm. The statue shows what looks like a double ended scale with no possible point for attachment. Very interesting, such detail. Re: To dish or to raise, that is the question ;)

Dishing is a second-rate technique. It thins the metal, you have less control over the shape of the piece, and you the depth you can go is limited. The tradeoff is that it is quick, and fairly easy to learn. Raising is superior, as it doesn't thin the metal, and you can go as deep as you want. It a...

I make almost nothing but helmets and don't have much of a problem selling them. As affordable as 250.00 to 1,600 or so. Meet your deadlines, and stay in communication with your customers, this is whats most important. Very large and very small "in stock" items can hang around for a while,...

Sure, although I have installed so many of Knuuts aventails, and each one has the same amount of links so its easy for me to punch the correct amount of holes.
Spacing the holes on average about 7mm apart gets me the results I need.

Id suggest running some stainless wire through the top rings then sewing the wire to the leather. looks better and makes it easier to repair. ( a 304 weld wire works great for this tig wire sectons come in 36 inches) I don't know if it looks better ? I am not sure what makes it easier to repair eit...
