Sadly there will be no Pennsic for me this year.
I have thought about sending my gear down with friends and racing down on my bike for just "the 30" but at the moment it seems more daydream than reality.

That grill does not have a couple of bolts holding it on? It has slats not rods?
I did make a few like that, but not many yours must be one of the earlier models if the grill does not come off.

I will be selling a conical spangen for a friend, the helm is used, but only worn a few times.
I made it for him 3 or 4 years ago but he switched personna.
I will add it to my site as soon as he drops it off.
It has a stainless mail drape around the back.
Its a pretty helmet.

The shitty kit is the visual sore of a much larger underlying infection.

The list should include anything with an athletic equipment logo.
That way the Nike swoosh and Adidas stripes etc would be banned.
This would at least get a more subtle form of foot ware on people.
White Nike sneakers are just as much an eyesore.

I'd like to compliment you on that bar bottom bascinet. Every time I see it, I stop and linger. Then, I get ideas about one with an interchange for a Klap.. Then I look at my pile of steel, and think more... But back to reality for a sec. This design with a Klap would open up more airflow in a COTT...
