Kilian_the_warlike,

The reason the EK is going to a league like that because (I believe it Vermont, maybe PA) has a law that is an adult strikes a child, they go to jail.

Blame sweeping legislations.

East Kingdom has it in place for 17-18 Heavy List division.
Hasn't been implemented just yet.

I think the Marshals need to be both Heavy list and Youth.

WTB SCA helm for 22" head

There is a new fighter at my practice looking for a small helm.
She's a student on a budget, but fencing for a long time.

~$100 to spend.

22" head.

PM me and I'll pass the details.

THANKS!

I've used nylon strapping, strapping tape, a suede colar and compinations of the same. As his Grace said, my style also leads to loosing tips. I (lefty) counter-punch, trailing wraps (thumb-leader to the side of the head) and pull it back into guard. When a righty catches the sword with his shield, ...

One of the problems with the LPTT is that they are dificult to keep on the weapon and still have the required give.

I have put these http://www.robertbrooke.com/chairglides ... rtips.html (rubber chair feet) as pommels on my daggers.

I can easily see them as "tips" on swords, as courtesy tips.
(they come in 1.25" inside diameter).

That would keep the cut tip of the rattan from cutting flesh.

I'm really starting to like the little brim all the way around the helm. Sorta like a faux kettle helm.

Well, as someone who had an anarchistic knee greave on my Byzantine (Late Roman) 6th Cent kit (me), I'm forced to agree with you. That doesn't make it right. In my kit, I admitted the knee/greave was "incorrect" for the kit, but justified it as the kit I assembled was based upon classical ...

RenJunkie I talk about that on my page. There is an icon of St. Michael where he wears knee greaves and likely kneegreaves on Trajan's Column, butthe hinge is speculative. It could just as likely be a one piece. I'd love to see something more solid on that, but I have not seen anything yet. The prob...

Rivet a ridge band and a beaver tail to that helm and it will really take it to the next level.
