Thanks Gio,

I'll go with the 18.

I was concerned about the calibration thing, but several friends (primary rapier fighters) said they did not think it would be an issue.

Partly why I'm also thinking light gauge metal.

Peascod for rapier

I'm wondering if anyone ever made a Peascod for rapier?
Pics?

I have the burgonet and I'm thinking a breastplate would be cool.

I'm thinking 20 guage?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Sab - you have a bargrill.
Same exception we make for the gauntlets.
A needed evil.

Kudos to those who go the extra mile to make them less noticeable.

Winner was Damon Von Drachenklaue.
Fighters Choice was Baron Vladimir

Thank-you for the enjoyable tourney. It was my first time and a lot of fun. Thanks also for posting the pictures to Flicker. Have you considered putting at least one picture of each fighter on the main web site? This way people can see what the standard is for the tourney. Some of the pics have bad...

I got mine from Karl Von Sussen for ~$80.

It was a serious project and required major modifactions to convert, but I'm happy with the results.

You're leaving out the archery shoots and rapier folks love a woods battle too. Archery Sun AM and all day through Wed. Have a Rapier woods battle, just not a war point. The idea is to have the Formal War Sun-Wed, then the rest of the week for Friendship/theme fighting. This does several things: - ...

a Pennsic paradigm shift

Here's an idea for a Pennsic paradigm shift. There's a lot of politics and other issues that effect the Pennsic war. My betters mentioned this... Sunday Noon: - Opening Ceremonies with Heroic Champions (war point) and unbelts (warpoint) - Afternoon field battle (warpoint) - Evening rapier battle (wa...

Good and reknown Leo Medii, We must agree that we do not agree. Though it may be a "style" of tourney, it is not the definition that we as a Society know of and equate to the word. To the populous at large, a "tourney" is a martial test with an ultimate victor. Quantifable as suc...
