I wear almost nothing under my hauburk. Only a light muslin tunic as a base and then my thin linen or cotton dalmatica and nothing more. After the hauburk I don the lamellar. The only part that can really be struck is the bicept as the legs are covered with the cuisses. [img]http://www.honorblade.co...

Check with Sir Andreas Eisfalke
http://icefalcon.com/
He may be able to hook you up.
It may be chheper to ship it if you ask him to cut it to a desired legenth.

Also check with H.H. Perkins (note: they are not stick fighters, they're furniture makers)

Guys, the very fact that we have engagement rules at all make all the arguments about "realistic" moot.

This is Sport Combat.

Would you consider cur leather lamellas?
You could always back it with (laced onto) a more rigid material if you feel it would not be hearty enough.

I'd pad it with 14 guage steel. I enjoy being able to feed myself and speak and not drool, so I'd trust my noggin NOT to a helm of less that 14 gauge. Having said that, I make a 'spagin' of closed cell (against the metal) and open cell (against my head) foam. I like this because it provides snug pro...

I've heard curved weapons are great for cutting, not for smashing. If they're not treated, go ahead and t...

Seriously though, make the crest on hidden springs. Tight enough so that it doesn't wobble, but a calibrated bolw will tilt it.
