Why not? This was sent to me for the O.L.D. I think it fits well in answering your question: Some people wear styles from many different cultures and time periods. Others strictly adhere to the clothing that their "persona" would have worn. Still others will wear an Elizabethan gown to one event, a ...

Meh. I use a center grip oval and you'd be suprized how much control you have over how it moves on the X, Y, and Z access. relaxing and allowing the shield to accept the force of the blow (and pivot) robs the (Sword) attacker of the rebound for a follow-on shot. The best part is you have much better...

Re: centergrip questions
Making up a couple centergrip round shields, and have a couple questions. I covered the wood with canvas, wellglued. Should I put a layer of glue on the exterior as well? Will that strengthen it at all? Will that be a good surface for paint? D. Seb: Yep. I find the glue ON TOP of the canvas helps s...

I apologize if I've offended you (or anyone, for that matter). That was far from my intent. I wasn't aiming my comments AT anyone in particular, and I frequently use odd or outrageous examples to try to get a point across. Thats all. No apoligize is needed if no offence was intended! I'm glad to ha...

Arima Jinsuke, Forgive me is I'm misinterpreting your posts, but for one who claims to value "chivalry" as the most important factor... Your posts smack of unnecessary insults and are quite curt in their vocabulary. This is a discourse of 2 philosophies of this game and there is no need for the rude...

Let me give you an example. When I was fighting heavily, I frequently used a pair of fairly long katanas. They were bastard swords, actually. 48" with a nice long handle, so I could drop either one at will and go with two hands on one. I'm not huge, but I am 6' tall, with long arms. If I take your ...

It sounds as if what your're doing is quite noble, but be wary that if you have no CA experience, I foress a CA Marshal ...

Surely in your kingdom, if you take an arm or leg, you stop and allow the person to consider yielding, or at least have time to take off his shield in a safe manner before continuing. - Depending on the flow of the fight... If you take my leg, expect me to be throwing shots at you as I drop to the ...
