I believe that the problem lies in the core of our ruleset that directs assumed armour standard , and weapons defeating them. Add to that a convention of combat that does not mimic actual life/death contest. We have a game with conventions that allow us to club each other very hard and not get injur...

I should edit my post to say "At one time I..." since, I've not used it in 2 years. I would again for fun in matched weapons, I just find it to NOT what I'm trying to acheive in armour.

As to "trapping" someone's weapon with my body, that means I've trapped it with MY body, not that circumstances have combined to create a situation where their weapon is trapped between Their body and My body. Azbrand didn't trap her weapon with his belly. She got it stuck between the two...

It would take a mili-second for my eyes to adjust from looking forward (unobscured) to looking down through the mail. Now I don't even notice. It'...

Master Tearlock helms are tank because they need to withstand shots from Master Tearlock.

Here's how I do it: m Step 1, prep the surface: - Sand the front and back of the shield blank so that the glue will have a good surface to grip to. I use an aluminum shield as all my wood blanks failed catastrophically after a short time. - Clean all the dust off the shield blank. http://mattyds.com...

I think if you loose a 1/2 dozen or so rows on the top of the aventail (where it attaches to the helm) it will drape straighter and not hug the helm in the back.
