Yes.
As Duke Alaric stated, a deed-of-arms would be more correct, as it is (abstractly) an expression of the joy of combat between brothers.

That is generally what I was hoping to convey Your Grace. I did not articulate it well enough. D. I would assume that by duel, SirMendor meant something more like a Deed of Arms. In that case, it would not be unseemly of you in any way to accept a proper challenge from someone who is not as experien...

One of my most memorable times in armour was at a... er... "demo". It resembled nothing like SCA combat, and was more at home in a post-apocalyptic WWF match held in a bar. The crowd loved it when I tossed my buddy over the picnic table, and his pal hit me in the back with the top of a bir...

We will get people standing up and cheering for this brutal fighting, but when someone gets chopped in the ankle, or a well timed forarm cut is employed, they (the audience) feel like they are getting ripped off! Lead by example. Offer help to those seeking improvement. This may sound odd coming from me, but... We must be careful. Having awesome kits can hurt recruitment as people can be put off by what they assume to be a requirement (the armours that cost $1000s, when you can get on the field for less than...
