Take it to a copy shop and have them enlarge it to the right size.

Cut it out and now you have a remplate you can use to trace.

Also, some places can print it directly to canvas!

Æiric, I'm all about inclusiveness - especially really well done off the beaten pathness. (pathness?) It's different when an experienced fighter choose to do this. 2 fighters yet to authorize heading down these paths? Here's my Bishop Odo mace:

It's leather squares with colored tape.

It would work fine as an obsidian impregnated club.

It's slow for it's size.

Back to the original theme. I had a length of rattan bend and warp in the grass on a humid day. What if you steamed a piece and put a nice curve on the end then padded it? But the tip might not be trust legal if its perpendicular to the shaft. I've seen great and artistic bends in rattan using soak...

On the war banner of Aligion Sebastianus it says "everything is a weapon if you hold it correctly".

Were they ever used in noble combat within the lists?

The scythe was a tool of the peasant. The obsidian club, a weapon of the savage.

They should learn a basic weapon style 1st. Most of us cut our teeth on sword and shield.

If they don't get the mechanics and learn the game, they will get tired of being warm pells, and they won't stick around.

There is always time for exotic weapons after you know the basics.
