That second helmet is quite interesting--a houndskull bascinet with a bevor! I wonder if that is accurate, but it makes some sense that the bevor might have been implemented with a houndskull late in its use. The first one is more typical. Neither of these are great bascinets from what I understand ...

It is not a direct trade, Maeryk, which I perceive you imply by your words, but rather this fellow's sovereign adjured him to go and do this thing as a work to chasten his body to receive the buffet and belt, which is a good thing. Now, as I see it, the primary hurdle is technical: finding enough me...

The Good Guys List

We have been awash in sad tales of bad merchants, or people who have been dissatisfied with various merchants, mostly armorers. I for my part would like to start a thread, which lists good merchants, who have come through on their part of the deal in mail order, and who knows, maybe it should be a s...

Very little light is needed to see inside your tent. I keep candles on a wooden table away from the walls, and it's safe as houses. "I'm afraid of fire." Well, there's ways to be safe, and they involve supervision, fire-resistant canvas, and correct placement of candles. Jehan, squire of Sir Vitus
