Thanks, Bob! I knew you'd appreciate it. Just so everyone knows, I have 185 of each of the ducat replicas--Charles IV and Jobst--in stock and ready to ship. I have ample stock of blanks for half groats and groats, and I have about 800 penny blanks on hand to strike Edward I pennies, Richard II penni...

Put in a request for quote for dies cut for the following coins: 1. Edward the Black Prince Half Groat. This replaces the Long Cross Penny of Henry III, of which Derian le Breton up in the Pacific Northwest makes a good replica. 2. Blanc au K of Charles V the Wise. From WikiPedia: "Charles V (2...

The lesson went well. I was regrooved by a nice young man who I am sure I could be his father. Age is no arbiter of knowledge; if I am right, he grew up around horses and he made the experience comfortable rather than awkward. I knew the kid was good when he said "You know, some people, they do...

These go for $1 each, 55 for $50.

Riding Lessons

Start tomorrow at 4:00 in the afternoon. It makes no sense not to know how to ride well (I can sit a horse just fine, and even go to canter and back though it's been ten years) and be into portraying an armored man at arms.

Who knows where it might lead.

Ye Olde Late 14th Century Harness Question

Okay, after wearing a haubergeon for my standard six hours or so a couple of days last weekend, and offering a presentation on it, I have a question.
