Bob's right--you can expect the hickory to break, unless you get lucky and find a handle with good grain. But if hickory handles are your only easy option, just have several on hand and see how they do.

Glaukos, that is very high praise indeed. I will have to think on that. Regarding Greek high relief coins, I would LOVE to be able to do them, but they would be cast, and they would be costly because of the materials. I will have to think on this, also. You're talking like a 25mm to 30mm coin that's...

The Monetization of The Hobby
Over the past couple of years, I have sold replica coins which represent over 50 pounds of worth. All told, I have sold several thousand individual coin replicas to every region of the US and several persons outside the US. Women do not have the right to fight.
They have to earn the privilege the same way men do: They have to overcome their fear of brutal pain, obtain arms, and then ply them.

I avoid the diaper butt. I depict someone who was born in about 1350 in England and tastes were fluid. I tend to go for higher cut hosen than point in two places. Armor as worn is an idea, and would require the wearer to know their harness and treat blows landing on them appropriate to what they are wearing. BUT. It favors later eras, due to the more protective nature of fuller plate armor. Therefore, unacceptable except in specialized venues. John Jehan de P...
