2009 Project: Strongbox

I have selected a project to pursue for 2009. My portrayal has evolved over the years into the receiver for a knight, and paymaster of his company. I have already secured the means to have on hand dozens of pounds of replica silver coin, I just need a place to store it securely. I would like to enco...

I am considering it. The coining business is not so profitable, but I have been able to muddle along and make it--with your kind help--not so unprofitable as to cause my wife to hate it. That said, sticking with the last half of the 14th century, I am considering expanding the line with a silver pen...

It's strictly proper to speak of the opinion of a manufactured persona in the third person. I think the Germans were of two minds regarding whether they preferred France or England in the continental contest, depending on their personal needs--this wasn't Germany's fight. I think that the views that...

He Wept, For There Were No More Worlds To Conquer

I have just about everything. Really. I have such a complete collection of stuff, that the things I don't have aren't available or I don't know I should have. Therefore, I challenge someone to figure out what to sell me. I have money, I'm just looking for something I ought to get. Some hints in my M...

A real three quarter or full circle cloak (I recommend it if you have the means) takes up a fair amount of material. That amount you have there is about right.

I don't know anything about dyeing fur.

Coins for Portrayals (Requests for 2009)

I'm looking to make four new coin offerings for 2009. I am looking for input. I need a good, clear image of the obverse and reverse (that's fancy for front and back), and the era and place of issue. Replicas of gold coins will be done in brass. Not optimal but a quick wipedown in a bag before an eve...

Bob, surely you don't mean identical, as there is sufficient difference to tell that the replica isn't the original article. A good close replica is quite enough, and all the law will allow in any case.
