Hm, that was a test, and I think I know the answer now...
Let's try this: (these are right after the Battle of the Thirty from the Challenges we fought then...)

Some of the edging on those shields look a bit too thin... What's up with that? Perhaps you are referring to my shield? (Which has Trim-Lock for edging) Atlantia uses SCA standards for shields, which are: Shields: 1. Shields shall be edged with leather or other padding, or constructed in such a way...

Before each Field Battle a Champion was sent out from both sides to fight a passage. Just before the third battle, HM Kelson approached HM Cuan and asked for an Atlantian Champion to be sent forth. His Majesty called me from the ranks (where I had just finished a song at the behest of Sir Falcone) a...

I LOVE PENNSIC!
I saw this topic on Legio and thought it was a great one....so I thought I would post my own list. Despite the best efforts of angry dwarfish fellows to Poo-Poo Pennsic, I still LOVE IT! Do you hear me, LOVE IT! Can't get enough. I love waking up in the morning to that cold morning air, with mist ha...

I found the dagger mostly useless as it kept falling out (my fault, i just had it tucked in my belt.) I've fought with my mace as a back up at Gulf Wars and loved it but once again, I didn't have a good solution to holding on to it. A lanyard off the gauntlet was a pain. Mostly I just carry my spear...

Thanks for all the advice. I knocked the rust off this weekend with a little oil and a scotchbright pad. (Tho this did strip the finish a bit). It looks servicable enough now and the mantle i'm wearing with it covers most of the darn thing anyway. After the war i'll play around with fire. Sound cool...

Tell you what, some of those lamps from these guys: www.ancientlamps.com with some epoxy to hard-fix them to the chandelier as described above, that'd be pretty sweet. Jehan, squire of Sir Vitus I own about six of them and usually I use them to light my pavallion at War. They work much better than ...

Anton hit me right on the point of the jaw where the gland is. Placement was good enough that is hurt like the dickens and sounded good, but didn't say, chip tooth, like he did Sir Duncan, or pop my eardrum, like he did with HM Cuan. Of course, my generation of squire brothers (after Duncan) started...

Yup, what he said. I find the chest punches to be sorta weak...but that's just me...xenophobic Atlantian that I am... I had a squire brother that for all the world looked like he was going to sock my knight one after his. He told me afterwards that it was the first time he had EVER let anyone punch ...

I'll fight in this, no matter what, But if it were up to me, I would like to see one of the following happen (if one of the organizers is out there): Gift Ransoms instead of money Or, if it must be money, then the money is not exchangable. I.E., you trade in your money for "Coin" and use that for ra...
