Another Rave Review for White Mountain Armoury!

I just got my simple stainless shoulder cops that I ordered A WEEK AGO from Adam at White Mountain Armoury. They are beatiful and well made. He finished them in leather and they came ready to point to my gambeson/body armour. WOW! Excellent service and product! Highly, Highly recommended! I can't wa...

Death is dishonor enough without adding to the cost. Consider this: You are the King's Man and sworn to defend him. You fight in an open faced basicnet and in the first or second pass dodge too slow, and are speared in the face. You are dead and there is no one to defend your leige from capture or d...

Somewhere, I saw the perimeter to be 12-14 c kits...though, yes, I do think it is a little wierd to open it that much for this battle, I have to admit, that i'll be there in 12/13 c stuff as best I can...because that is what I have...

Right. Still tho, (as I am fighting in it! WWWWWHOOO!!! One more benefit of fealty folks!) I want to look right. I can pull off a 12c look, no sweat with the D-face, chain, etc. But that won't be right for the time period of the actual battle. Of course, it would give me the face protection, since m...

For Certes, men of little skill, talent, or time in armour will prefer the mellee where they can hide thier faults, to the tourney, where all is seen.

Myself? I love fighting. Both types take different and similiar tools of the trade.

I am SO ready to be there now...dam it!

Just a note, last time I checked this was not an "official" tournament (this may have changed). It is not on the Pennsic shcedule. The SCA does not touch any of these funds. Its roughly the equivallent of a bunch of guys deciding to get together on the practice field and deciding to reward each oth...

I know it isn't in your time period, but Master Eldread sells his bottom end mild bascinets for $300. There are lots of folks that do nice early helms. Adam at White Mountain does great work, (and is AWESOME to deal with) but he only does 14g and if you are going to be fighting more seriously then y...

BWAHHA! Thank you, Sir. My experience is that we steal from other kingdoms all the time, rather shamelessly!
