Re: Atlantian 30 year - Combat of the Thirty
I'm actually seriously thinking of coming down for this. I think its only like 5.5 hours from me, so not that big of a trip. I have to work Monday, but can still probably get in the Sunday Bearpit then jump in the car and get home. :p Hm, where have I heard this before? I'm daytripping on saturday.

Are there going to be any melees? God Kelby, you are such a nice guy that I feel bad for harshing on you, but I can't help myself! I know you are a dirty Celt and all but did you see anything about mellees on there? Nope, looks like there aren't any. I'm just the messenger! The surly, surly messeng...

I recall hearing about (SNIP) I also recall hearing about (SNIP) I also recall hearing about (SNIP) Man, i'm not picking on you, really. But everything you say after that is invalidated. If you didn't witness it, you don't know what you are talking about. Folks getting broken, either on purpose or ...

I got hit in the cup twice tonight at practice. Once was from my former squire, one from a future squire. Neither was malicious. S%^& happens. I'm far more perturbed about the actual bruises I have, and that is entirely disappointment with myself for failing to BLOCK.

Total suck: I burst a blood vessel on the outside of my left eye while doing pickups. Made my eye itch something feirce the rest of the war, especially when I got sweat in it, which was all the time. Combination good bad moment: Good. Caught a peer in a big lie about a friend of mine. Bad. Had to c...

Re: Known World Novice Tourney - Pennsic 40
I don't think I have a cup shot in my arsenal with a single-handed weapon. I will sometimes spear a guy's cup while aiming for his belly or thigh. Animal Weretiger convinced me to never intentionally spear a person in their squishy parts. I do, though it is actually targeted to the belly. It occasi...

They did an amazing job as War King and Queen, fostered good will, courted the right Allies, and just played the role correctly.

Like Jan, this was our daughter's first pennsic (she is 3, almost 4). This really changed pennsic for me, but not in a bad way. She had an amazing time and so did I. Fighting wise this was one of my worst pennsics in a while and I don't have any epic stories to share. My only good story involves dou...

Truth be told all the fighting this year was lackluster. This has to be one of the most unfun Pennsic I've ever fought at (I've been going since 20) and some of the most boring scenarios.

Terrible battle this year. The side by side Res points DID NOT WORK. If you are War Staff and listening, please never allow that again. Last year was amazing. Same area, totally different battles.

Yoinks! Apparently the first scroll for the prize for this was destroyed in a water related accident. The scribe (the talented Mistress Mordrea) is starting over and hopes to have it overnighted to me at the war. (She is amazing!) None the less there will be a scroll either the day of or I will get ...
