Re: Named weapons (SCA)

I used to name all my swords for fun. I still do when the mood strikes me. Currently my mellee sword is called "Dr. Thug-N-Stein". When I made it was called "Dr. Funk-N-Stein" but I vowed I'd change the name the first time I got someone to 'convert' with it. I hit a dude in the r...

The Big Kite is still available. Plus if you fight with it Ursus might be drawn to you again and again like a bee to honey!

Plus, everyone knows that Checky is Slimming! ;-)

Pending payment, the Oval is spoken for. Only the Big Kite is left! (I will patch the trim lock where it is blown out on the leading edge for free, making it usable as is for the war.) If you are Byram-sized, keep those pesky archers at bay! If you are Vitus-sized hang two bed sheets from it and cal...

On the hockey glove behind shield subject--for once, I'm not guilty here, as I use a shield basket. But, it seems very prevalent here in Atlantia for folks to use the hockey glove instead. I don't really understand why. Does the glove offer some performance advantage over the shield basket? I would...

Re: Oh... the pell....

For my outside pell I use the version of that that has the large spike on it. For that one I would bolt it to a 2x2 piece of plywood and then put something like free weights on top of it to hold it down. Then you could move it easily when you were done if you are short on space. Hm. Might have to do...
