Need a Pigface Visor

Anybody got an accurate-looking pigface visor hanging around that they want to sell? Yeah- just the visor. It can be unfinished, as long as it retains it's basic shape.

Black fabric was not in any way rare in the High Middle Ages, it was just very, very, very expensive. The Burgundians and Germans were addicted to it.

Finger Gauntlet Question

I am about to have my finger gauntlets refurbished. What type of leather is best for mounting the finger plates? Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I am willing to pay for a piece of the right stuff, if somebody would be so kind as to part with it. Thanks.

Flonzy, you have gone too far in the other direction. Saying that a technique has to appear in a manual for it to be considered *effective* is simply ridiculous.

It is entirely possible that -in the CONTEXT of a tournament- that WtM was unhorsed and had decided to obtain another. Another possibility is that while watching from the sidelines he decided to re-enter the lists on foot and obtain one (to answer the jongleur singing the song "give me a horse, mars...

The problem that we have is this- a tournament is something that was done on horseback. It's horsiness cannot be ignored. Now, we know that knights engaged in all manner of competitive fighting on foot, but there is alot of confusion about terms, conditions and goals. Medieval voices have not left u...

Fishing for Opinions

Well, I have to face it. I am either going to move forward or give up this hobby altogether. I think that by the time I come up on Cad's list I will have quite a bit of money together for a 15th century rig. I want to have something that I can use in specialized SCA lists like the "plate and mail to...
