Just ordered 6lbs of rivits today from R. J. Leahy. Cost $90 with shipping not bad for 3pounds stainless and 3 pounds brass.

Does anyone know what to call (ie what modern manufacturers/distributors call them) the washers used when attaching leather and steel? Also what are the two piece rivits (one goes inside the other) that are used alot in leather work called? I haven't had to order any in so long and wanted to search ...

Thanks for the input. Originally this helm had a solid face, but I couldn't breathe/fight in it very well because of fighting in an open faced helm(bar grille)for so long and not fighting for almost two years. Used to fight quite regularly with the barony of bahkail, but haven't had the time to finish the armour I was workin' on. So I figured I'd see if anyone was interested in some repair work for some armour work.

What I'm looking for is basically formulas, or some such thing, for taking the measurments that you get and transfering them into useful dimensions in a pattern.
