I'd say it was pretty close to right. It's people practicing the opposites that gives SCA chivalry such a bad taste so often.

Well, you are, of course, right as far as you go. I had not really considered calibration devices to actually be used as a judgement tool on the field. I think we can agree that by the time we are on the field it is too late to worry about calibration. I did think, though, that training to an agreed...

Small point.

It would make interkingdom events less stressful and cut down on the animosity and gossip factors. Plus, it would reduce the commentary that so disturbed Sarnac about the Champions battle. On the whole, I guess it just makes too darn much sense. [This message has been edited by Hushgirl (edited 10-1...

Has Moonwulf given up teaching? Ask someone who he is and introduce yourself. Tell him you're new and ask him to recommend a teacher. I think Baron Sir Peter is still there, real tall accountant-looking guy, ask him too. Make it clear you're a newbie. Otherwise they think you can keep up with them a...

Seems to me there's a little confusion between "honor" and "opinion". Two men may strike each other with equal force, yet one calls the blow light and one calls it exscessive. There is no objective standard, only opinion. And on that opinion rests honor. Wouldn't some sort of objective standard be u...
