My ideal fighting weight is 260 +/- . Any lighter and I can fight all day but I'll have to cause I have to work harder to get the power. Currently, I'm about 300 and I feel slow but I don't feel like I'm hitting and more stoutly than at 30-40 lb lighter. At 320 I can't get out of my own way. So in m...

Re: What is the difference between SCA and LARP?

Hi guys, I am pretty new to this forum and armouring in general, Everyone seems into SCA and LARP and i know basicly what each one is but If i were to join one i need to know the differences and the similarities, To me it appears that SCA is more brutal combat (which is a huge plus ) And LARP seems...

Your Grace, I haven't tried to get min inspected/authorized in the Midrealm yet, but two marshals in AEthelmearc wouldn't pass my Mandrake mace as "too hard," so there are clearly some issues with them. Do you have a pic of what they are failing to pass? I think we might be talking about two differ...

I have to admit, I've never been hit with one Murdock, so I have zero personal experience with this. But, people I know and trust say they can literally drop someone to there knees with a standard "level 5 (of 10)" shot to the helm with one. I liked the way they looked and wish that, instead of Man...

1350ish Spain

I am currently helping out a friend who wants to research 1350ish Spain. What styles (both marshal and civil) defined Spanish fashion?
Where can I look to find this kind of info?

Thanks for the help!

Jeff, What are you recreating? do you have any pics? I will try to get some photos up in a day or 2. We were just at the NC Ren Faire the past two weekends, and everything left is still in boxes now. I think there are still a couple of medieval-style pieces left. We can replicate styles and glaze c...

Use contact cement or shoe goo to fix the head to the rattan, then use fiber tape (strapping tape) to keep it there. remember NOT TO PULL THE TAPE TOO TIGHT!!! This will compress the head and remove the give that is there. You may or may not need to add a layer of marshalizer camp foam to the striki...

Their helmets are tanks... a$$ ugly tanks. they will take a great beating and are wonderfull get on the field FNG armor but you should plan to outgrow it. I love their sword and shield cages. Best bang for the buck.
