Unless there is some great outcry against 'knee-walking' or a pattern of injury, why mess with it? In truth, I'd like to see knee-fighting go away ( I have fought with the Avalon rules in a small tourney and I liked it a lot). I know change comes from experimentation but this seems like an odd windm...

Which kingdoms should we be in continuity with? Ansteorra, who has a similar rule? Or should we be more in line with Meridies and Calontir who do not? Maybe we could put it to a vote The more we deviate from a standard rule set the more we open ourselves to confusion, misunderstanding and hard feel...

Making rules regarding whether or not someone can walk around on one's knees like a drunk, armored frat boy has absolutely nothing at all to do with whether this is a "sport of dominance" or "one of sissy ass tag youre it conventions". It also has nothing to do with reality. What I see it as being ...

I recommend the Ashcroft/Backer Hilts to ANYONE on a budget. They are strong, solid and dependable but they are a bit heavy. If you are going to go with steel basket and can afford it, I’d go with m the Thag-5 is not a bad choice/ The Baldar cuphilt isn’t a bad choice. I like to have t...

I don't know about a Dr. view point but I HAVE been "legged" in a real fight. (An axe handle to the inside of the knee.)
I was done.
no more fight.

If authenticity is your goal, call it a fight ender.
If we are going to be authentic, I want to shoulder check and leg sweep.

Well, at best one could ask that the question be narrowed down a bit
Or if you think it is "Troll Bait" just leave it alone.
I see no reason to trash someone just because you don't like their question or (even less tolerant) the way they ask it.

Thank you.

Re: New Gleann Abhann war rule.

First things first, this will not be in effect for Gulf Wars. We had out first fighter's collegium as a kingdom last weekend, and a new ruling was started. This is not set in stone, as our Earl Marshal Sir William is going to get feedback. The rule is that if you loose your leg in combat, you are p...

Get the DVD. The next time you feel like going out to get a bite to eat, make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and watch the DVD. You just saved yourself what you spent on the DVD.
