I used machine screws to attach the boss and handle. It may be I didn't tighten them down enough. I just used the screws because I happened to have them on hand. It's an Al shield. Re:padding the inside, we don't but I do know a lot of folks who like the street hockey gloves on the shield hand( the ones from Ice work well.) Re: Overblocking.
